Lumen

Light follows your hands

Turn on your camera.
Raise your hands into the frame.
The light will answer your gestures.

Preparing files…

Keep your hands about an arm’s length from the camera, with light falling on them from the front. A plain background behind you is not required.

How it works

Turn your phone upright

The light is in your hands

If the camera shows an artificial background or blur, turn off video effects: on a Mac — Control Center → Video Effects; on Windows — Studio Effects.

Privacy

The camera turns on only after you press “Turn on camera” and allow it in your browser. Microphone access is not requested. The image is processed only on your device; it is not sent anywhere and not recorded.

MediaPipe finds hand points in the frame. All calculations of finger positions, gestures and light run in your browser. Before the camera is on, the page downloads files and prepares recognition, but receives no image.

The page uses no analytics and no external services. The server only delivers files and keeps a standard nginx request log: device IP address, time, requested file, response code and browser details. Camera images and hand points never get into this log.

The “Turn off camera” button stops the stream. When you close the tab, the image and recognition data are gone. The show’s own files may stay in your browser’s normal cache; the server log does not disappear when you close the tab.
